I totally recommend to read this article about the therapeutic value of movement/dance. I have always known that dancing was like therapy and I knew it even more when one of my salsa students, a couple of years ago, told me "You should do something with the dancing, like a dancing therapy studio or so!" - that was striking, because it was exactly then that I started reading a bit about dance therapy. One of the best discoveries ever was the fact that the dancing, because it improves balance and coordination, can help with dementia and with Parkinson's disease. And most importantly, in my coaching practice, I want to use movement and dancing (especially salsa dancing) to help reducing stress, anxiety and self-esteem.
Dance in front of a mirror! And look how beautiful you are while you are doing it!
